England Coast Path Hartlepool to Seaton Carew Part 60

Its been an interesting weekend & touch & go as to weather we will be going on this trip due to Lesley spraining her foot.

Lesley gives the green light & we prepare to go! 

An unusual late start for us today as our train is not until late morning, it was an empty train so we were able to spread ourselves out relaxing & enjoying the journey. We arrive in Hartlepool late in the afternoon. Leaving the station we head to the shops to pick up some shopping in M&S & are ready for the first part of our ECP walk. Its a short walk along the promenade  to our accommodation Lesley is walking with sticks & this short walk is a good test for the sprained foot. Setting off at 16.35 as the sun is going down. The light fades & the moon is shining down on the calm water.

Arriving at the Durham Hotel the foot has been ok &  we are greeted by the owner Ian who makes us feel very welcome & shows us to our room, a large but basic suite, sofa tv comfy bed & bathroom.

We make ourselves comfy in the communal tv lounge eating our snacks Ian comes through & asks what time we would like breakfast we request 0730 so we will be set for the day.
