Bosham to Emsworth

After a sixty three mile journey from home we arrive at Bosham to continue our England Coast Path Walk. It's another lovely sunny day & we start off from the pretty quay at Bosham walking along side the Cutmill creek with it's diversity of wetland wild life.
Unfortunately the path turns onto the main road the A259 & past this little thatched cottage with it's yellow door & pretty rose filled garden.
Luckily it's not too long a stretch on the road & we are soon back on the waters edge with another hop out onto the A259 then back by the shoreside.
Soon we are in the fields where crops of cabbage, Sweet corn & Sugar beet.
However you do have to ring the bell to ask the guard for access (we didn't feel we should take pictures of the gate) the bell was swiftly answered the magnetic mechanism buzzed, the gate released we were in!
we passed a lovely little church a sailing club & wide sandy beaches. After several miles we approached the gate on the opposite side of the island, our exit, bell pushed we waited, no reply pressed again....... & again...... several minutes between pushes, now concerned we couldn't go over it, we cant go under it & the defences out into the sea were a definite can't go round it!
Pressed the button again now probably ten minutes have passed & to our relief a voice on the end of the line & the gate released we were free to go, phew! it was a long way back to the entry gate & who knows the same may have happened.
